Reading Response #4
Change is inevitable. Especially when it comes to technology. Since technology improves massively over time, it’s not unexpected to see a lot of change in video games when compared from late 1940's to today. Video games now are more complex than before and are more visually appealing. Video games are becoming more creative based on how the company makes the game and how people play it. A company called Sierra remade a game called King’s Quest. King’s Quest was very unique and creative since it’s a hand painted game. Sierra scans the paintings and place them in the game. It looks very beautiful than the original and it fits more to its storybook look for its classic tale.
Companies created technology to not only just use your hands, but also our bodies to play as the character in the game so we can be more active. For example, the game, Just Dance. They use a camera to scan our bodies and connect to the character from the game in order to interact with it. But now, companies are improving technology to the next level by actually feeling like you’re in the game it self in a virtual reality. (The VR in short)
I played the VR before and its not perfect, but I know they can improve on it. That’s how the world works; improving and making things even better than before.
