The relationship between technology and games
The birth of computer game was in 1948, it was a chess simulation game. And next about 30 years, until the 1970s, the game industry had struggled to develop because the code was too complicated on machines in the era and the games were too expensive. People, however, confronted the obstacles, so they invented new games as “ Virtually the brain” which is light bulbs as a display in 1952 and “tennis for two” in 1958. In 1961, MIT acquired the PDP-11which is a series of minicomputers used vector code yet it wasn’t CPU which is brains of the computer where most calculations take place. Then, “the game space war” created in 1962 which wasn’t widespread, unlike PDP, because it was super expensive. Atari which is game company solved the problem in the early 1970s. They invented the coin-type game and used low-cost TV monitor. The games had more and more developed and cheaper 1972 through1983, high quality as had became colorful and complicated. The 1990s the graphics had become more and more beautiful and quality and had built storylines. The 2000s, we saw photorealistic graphics as 3D and now we are going into next stage in gaming virtual reality. High technology clearly has leaded high quality of computer games.
