2019–1008 Project Update

After experiencing some issues with finding a sound sensor that can be programmed to send information via wifi, I have altered my Measure/Act Diagram to measure the number of times the doors in the basement of Avery are opened to determine the room’s occupancy. When the number of times the door opens drops below are certain point in a given time frame (my first attempt being less than 20 opens in 30 minutes) then an Amazon Echo placed in the room will begin to play ambient noise. I still intend to measure the success of this system by utilizing motion detector’s placed in Avery’s basement.
