Mech Master Sharing — What We’ve Gone Through and What We Head For
Rewind to the Testnet phase 1
The Testnet Phase 1 has ended for 2 weeks. Apart from the remarkable achievements, we acknowledge that the test still has some major bugs that need to be fixed in terms of stats, effects, visuals, and matching algorithms. Along with the community’s feedback, we have drawn the critical points as follows:
- The match timeout is quite long and can be shortened to a few seconds instead of a few minutes.
- The matchmaking process sometimes takes forever to be done.
- The camera angle can be improved for a better viewpoint.
- Some of Mecha’s effects are not shown even when the attack is launched.
- Mecha is hit without losing its HP once in a while.
- Mecha, in turn, is not highlighted, making it difficult for players to distinguish
And some minor flaws to deal with.
The current market turbulence
To some extent, the Defi Game market is in its wintertime, which causes token selling-offs, and $MECH is no exception. However, this trend is both a challenge and an opportunity for Defi Games, because trash ones will be eliminated, while mature projects like Mech Master will last. We have foreseen the difficulties that might be encountered while building our ecosystem. This wintertime is, therefore, not a surprise.
We had enough preparation and planning to make it through. And it won’t affect the morale of Mirai Studio’s game development team or cause us to consider the negative moves that so many other Defi Game teams have made.
After the Testnet Phase 1, what are we doing?
On the development side, we are working hard to fix bugs and balance the game stats according to collected feedback. The debugging process is a silent and time-consuming task, requiring a lot of discussion and measurement from many people. Therefore, we sincerely ask for understanding and patience from those who have supported and stayed with us until now.
As for the marketing side, we are continuing to cooperate with game guilds to significantly increase the number of gamers. Furthermore, we are also working with prestigious newspapers in the crypto community to promote the project and increase brand awareness. In addition to community development, we have also cooperated with a partner who is a top-tier consultancy in managing token prices, keeping the token value at a stable level, and securing profits for investors. Our team also constantly improves our work efficiency by participating in training sessions with other projects in the Icetea Labs ecosystem. This promises to be meaningful leverage for our upcoming marketing activities.
What do we head for?
The Testnet Phase 2 is coming up real soon. With the given resources and the constant support from our community, we believe that this phase will make huge progress compared to the first one. There will be countless tasks to be done, but step by step, we can achieve it. Not flawless, but vastly improved.
