Russia’s Secretive Vaccine

With the global COVID-19 infection rate and total dead rising on a daily basis, the stakes for developing a potential cure or vaccine for this dangerous strain of novel coronavirus couldn’t be higher. Recently it was discovered that the Russian Federation was hiding something quite interesting.

It was reported by Bloomberg Business that members of Russia’s elite including top Russian executives, billionaire tycoons and high-ranking government officials have been given access to a secretive early-stage experimental vaccine against the COVID-19 infection. This select-few group if individuals reportedly started receiving shots of a prototype vaccine, under development by Moscow’s Gamaleya Institute as early as April of this year. It should be noted that there’s not empirical evidence indicating that this experimental vaccine would be effective as there hasn’t been sufficient clinical trials being conducted on this vaccine as of the time of writing.
