Youth and COVID-19
It is common belief that the elderly and those with compromised immunity systems are those most affected by this pandemic-inducing dangerous strain of novel coronavirus, however recent incidents seem to prove otherwise.
It should be noted that the majority of American patients infected by COVID-19 are young adults, with many of the global youth becoming asymptomatic carriers for this deadly plague. This inference was confirmed by the scientific community in a recent study published in the Journal of Pediatrics has discovered that young children do spread the SARS-CoV-2 virus (the pathogen behind the COVID-19 infection), despite having mild to no symptoms at all.
This information has reignited the debate of reopening of schools and which age-group should receive the experimental vaccines first.
