Introducing better captions, links and more

You already know what time it is…time for yet another Medal update! We’ve been working non-stop behind the scenes making moves and launching features we think you’ll love. And we think you’re gonna love our new clip caption features including clickable links and increased 280 character limit!

Let’s take a look 👀

Clickable Links in Captions

Use the new clickable links feature in your clip captions to engage your audience even more! Captions now support a growing list of whitelisted domains. So go ahead and link your Minecraft Discord server on a montage you made to recruit new members to your realm, or tell your audience they can find even more hilarious gaming moments on your TikTok. You can even link to another clip you took on Medal to show that your 1v4 ace wasn’t a fluke…but a pattern ;)

We get it, you got loads to say and 190 characters sometimes just doesn’t cut it — especially now that we’ve added clickable links to your captions! That’s why we increased the clip caption character limit from 190 characters to a whopping 280 characters. To put that in perspective, if you can fit it in a tweet…you can fit it in your caption.

So go ahead and caption your clip with something like….

“Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life…He …”

…we’re not gonna stop you. We won’t encourage it either — but you could if you wanted to.

Share Your Favorite Links in Your Profile

Ok ok, you caught us, this isn’t a new feature. But with all the excitement about adding links to your captions, we wanted to take a second to remind you that you can also add your favorite links to your Medal profile. Your Medal profile is a great place to show off your other Social Media accounts, blogs, Youtube channels, or whatever else you want your Medal audience to see.

We love hearing from you and we’d love for you to suggest new features. If you have any questions about this update or any other Medal feature, you can always contact support.

If you’re interested in testing out features before official releases make sure you head over to Medal Early Access:
