Catherine Bond

Catherine Bond is the English Editor — Africa for the World Bank Group. She previously served as the English Language Editor — Middle East & North Africa.
Bond studied Philosophy, English Literature andAfrican Studies at the University of Edinburgh. She has been a journalist for over 20 years with experience in digital, television, radio, and print. She is also a former East Africa Bureau Chief, correspondent, and Producer for CNN.
Bond’s work has been featured in mainstream news organizations such as BBC World, The Times , Daily Telegraph, Financial Times, and Economist magazine. She is currently based in Washington, D.C.
She will be speaking as part of the International Media Coverage of Genocide panel on Dec. 2 from 13:15–14:45 p.m. Her talk will focus on propaganda and how it obscures fact.
