Podcast: Round table preview with Allan Thompson

The Media and Mass Atrocity round table event will be taking place at Carleton University from Dec. 1–3.

Experts from around the world will gather at Carleton University to take part in round table discussions on the role of the media in cases of mass atrocity. The event will track the changing impact and legacy of the media in events from the Rwanda Genocide of 1994 to more recent cases of mass atrocity in such places as Central African Republic and Myanmar.

In this podcast, Prof. Allan Thompson of the Carleton School of Journalism and Communication discusses what to expect at the round table, and introduces listeners to some of the event’s key speakers.
