Wonder Woman is a Zionist?

The controversy around Gal Gadot, the actress of the latest Wonder Woman cinematic version, banned in Lebanon, rages on. Gadot has publicly stated her support for the Israeli Defence Force, which had been in the past involved in conflict in Lebanon.

Now, also a Lebanese fashion designer is involved, as per this BBC article that comments:

“The posting of a photograph of Israeli actress Gal Gadot in a dress by Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab has caused consternation on social media.”

But one important question here is: should the private opinions of an actress impact the release of her work, particularly if it’s a non political super hero movie?

Gadot performance in the movie has been praised widely.

Are Lebanese censorship and the the Lebanese public opinion’s response to Gadot in this particular case going too far?
