This one of those movies you watch and you’re like: “ohkay…and then?”

It’s okay, but not great.

I don’t even know how to describe it. It has been a couple of days since I saw this film and I can barely remember it. It really is a forgettable movie save for some really neat fight scenes and a touching ending but other than that, there really isn’t anything to see here. I really do feel bad for Ben Affleck though. After being cast as Batman and then getting this role you can see that either Hollywood or himself are trying to turn him into an action star and aren’t really delivering.

Yes, he’s believable as a high functioning autistic math supergenius who (as a result of some pretty unorthodox training) has become really capable and can hold his own in close quarters combat and is a really really good shot. My other question now is: was it proper to portray autism in such a light? I don’t know so maybe someone with more knowledge can share some light on this issue.

There’s really nothing much to say concerning The Accountant. It’s one of those movies that you either love or you hate so the only way to know, is to see it for yourself. Odds are that if you enjoyed John Wick, you’ll find this mildly entertaining while looking forward to John Wick 2.

Final Score: 5/10
