Groupme is seen as a necessary evil to many groups and organizations. To sororities it is a way to connect with people throughout the day, but also express the connections and feelings that the group makes you feel. Throughout the an average school day the “ΑΣΑ Spring 2017 Actives” receives over 4 location invites to join sisters in various locations on campus. While some sisters are busy, the idea of an open invite allows sisters to feel as they belong and have a place even if it is over a social media platform and not in person. Connectedness plays into a diverse group of people really finding where they belong.
