Americans and tech: It’s a love hate thing
If you don’t understand what I’m saying based on the title you either don’t use your technology the “right” way or nearly enough.
I mean as much as we love technology and as useful as it is, it can sometimes hurt us in a number of way that many may not think about. And if it isn’t hurting us, let’s be real, technology can be incredibly frustrating. sometimes to the point of throwing whatever device you're using across the room.
You following me now? If not, perhaps some visuals will help explain what I mean to you.
Let’s start with some hate. I’d hate that ugly flip phone too, it probably doesn’t work well at all.
Let’s switch over to some fun!
We all love videogames… as long as we’re winning.
Who doesn’t like being more organized and productive thanks to tech?
I’m pretty sure we can all thank tech for providing us with great dates.
Let’s not act like social media hasn’t been an blast!
Well… most of the times, like when we aren’t trying to tear each other down.
The fact that cyber warfare is a thing should be alarming in itself.
Tech has really opened up more job opportunities for criminals hasn’t it?
Despite the bad, technology is really making the lives of Americans better and longer!
Description:
In this experiment, we were required to find 10 photos that would capture an “American” relationship to technology. Clearly, we can see that technology has brought about a great many improvements to the lives of American’s. This ranges from being able to stay in touch with loved ones through social media, being able to be more organized and productive, to improvements in the medical field. However, there are many downsides of technology, some that I didn’t even list. These can range from the complete lack of privacy, to cyber crime, to harming other peoples image, to even just being frustrating when they aren’t working due to our almost total reliance on them. Hence the title. This relationship has a lot of good and a lot of bad. It’s a love hate thing.
Hopefully now you follow me.
