Although wireless charging has been around for a while, it seems with the release of the iPhone 8 & X the market for wireless chargers is about to explode. Starting with Belkins new consumer and commercial products.

Belkin will be unveiling their new product line at CES 2018 and it’s likely more companies will be competing with other new chargers as consumers begin to adopt the technology rapidly in 2018.

The new Boost Up family will be available in 4 different colors (white, pink, black and blue) and support 10W charging speed. Check out the family below.

Boost Up Bold

An updated version to Belkins existing Boost Up Charger which includes a smaller, compact design, those 4 new colors and is rated for up to 10W instead of it’s previous 7.5W which means faster charging.

Dual Wireless Charging Pad

In what looks to be a direct competitor to Apple’s own AirPower charger (but most likely half the price), the new dual pad will allow you to charge two devices at once and is basically 2 Boost Up Bolds put together. Perfect for couples or a shared space.

Boost Up Wireless Charging Stand

The most annoying thing about finding a wireless charger is most of them require the phone to be laid flat. Not ideal when you’re wanting to watch a movie or still use you phone while it charges. Belkins new Charging Stand solves this and looks great while doing it.

Wireless Charging Car Mount

No more awkward cables floating around in your car. The new Belkin Charging Car Mount is a nicely designed car mount but also packs the convenience of wireless charging. Very cool!

Wireless Charging System

2018/2019 will likely see you wireless charging your devices at your local cafe, library or airport and Belkin is looking to be the main supplier with its new Wireless Charging System which includes commercial grade Qi charging and multiple mounts to cater for most installation requirements.

When and How Much?

No prices or specific launch dates have been confirmed but Belkin has said that their Boost Up Bold and Stand could be released as soon as March/April 2018 and the rest of the family to be later this year (June/July 2018).

Keep an eye out for our CES roundup later next week. Expect to see a lot of new Smart Home technology and of course crazy, scary robots.
