#1 Blockchain: I’ve been fascinated by crypto-currencies lately and have been reading everything in sight. Here are some of my favorite reads:
- Fat protocols (shorter)
- Money, Blockchains and Social Scalability (longer)
- WTF is the blockchain? (with pictures!)
- The dawn of trustworthy computing
- Naval Ravikant‘s tweet storm:
#2 Assholes: Adam Grant calls bullshit on the conventional wisdom that you need to be an asshole to make things happen.
#3 Connecticut: My home state is struggling, but so are many states. Connecticut's issues are America’s issues — health care, pensions, people getting older, people having less kids. No one really has good answers, either.
#4 MBA: A friend Dan Siegel basically gives you everything you need from an MBA for free.
#5 STEM: I wrote a short piece about why our love affair with STEM majors is overrated.
