A new start for MediBloc

#0. Hello, this is MediBloc!

What did MediBloc in Korea mean to you? And what did MediBloc mean to the MediBloc team?

One of the few healthcare teams in South Korea now building a promising global blockchain-based healthcare data platform.

Yes. But that was it.

And it’s not just a brand, it was a list of facts.

Collaboration with numerous hospitals, insurance companies, medical organizations…

We’ve been so busy, we haven’t stopped to see people cheering or reproving us. Maybe it’s all been too hard or too tiresome. We were a bit too clumsy, perhaps, and not very responsible regarding your support and attention. Of course, there are still many things missing or not quite up to standard. And as the cryptocurrency market calmed down, interest in MediBloc has cooled as well.

Medibloc is at the forefront with a new phase of the project. (There will be an app release soon! 🙂) But before we get started, let’s look back at where we’ve been. We will take a good look at what we did well and what we did wrong, then we will empty everything out and fill it up again.

Also, we will explain why MediBloc exists, how it works, and how we see ourselves. Everyone with MediBloc is on the MediBloc rocket, as it were, so let’s focus and aim this thing in the right direction.

Now, let’s get started!

#1. MediBloc wants to convey this value!

Medibloc in Korea is on a mission to create for the healthcare community an innovative, patient-oriented paradigm and create a world where everyone can have a healthy life. In terms of both the blockchain industry and the healthcare information industry, MediBloc’s identity is unique overall and advanced particularly in the healthcare industry. We are pursuing a medical information platform using blockchain for the first time in South Korea, and the healthcare information industry there is ambitious to overhaul the existing centralized healthcare information management system using blockchain of MediBloc Limited.

What are the keywords we have used to pursue our mission? What keywords set the standard by which we express to the world what we are and how we reach our decisions?

First, among such keywords, the cornerstone of our identity, would be “securely safe”, “unprecedented convenience”, and “useful for everyone”. These express the recognition and identity that MediBloc must give to users as a future healthcare information platform. The members of the MediBloc team want to build service that can be useful, convenient, and secure for everyone.

It was difficult to enter the industry at first, but this difficulty gave MediBloc strong brand equity. Others who joined in too late watched MediBloc and reached out to join us. MediBloc in Korea has since become an industry standard and symbol, and this has allowed MediBloc to participate in various governmental projects and collaborate with hospitals abroad. And as we blaze new trails and further set ourselves apart from others, such new and evolving attempts cannot simply be called Geeks.

#2. Medibloc wants to tell you this!

With the slogan “Healthcare Experience Reinvented”, MediBloc in Korea moved forward with the development of our product, participation in various government projects, and collaboration with various large hospitals.

And now it’s time for MediBloc in Korea to change the healthcare ecosystem more aggressively.

Medibloc in Korea is an integrated healthcare information platform moving toward unlimited possibilities. Please join MediBloc, and together let’s open up those possibilities together.

#3. Let us show you the new face of MediBloc!

What image do you see when you think of MediBloc?

You might think of a stiff M-shaped logo. In fact, MediBloc’s logo has changed several times, and each of the old logos below has had a hard, sharply angular look.

However, we wanted to know: Does this logo really represent who we are and what kind of personality we have?

The answer, of course, is no.

Although the logo clearly shows that MediBloc is a fusion of “medical” and “blockchain”, it is more like a representation of the blockchain technology itself, and it doesn’t really convey what MediBloc will do.

We wanted MediBloc to have a different image. We wanted to be recognized as an energetic company that would change the healthcare market. It needed a young and innovative look, not the look of a conservative, impersonal blockchain technology company. We also wanted to express that MediBloc’s ultimate goal is to enable all participants to exchange healthcare information with each other freely.

So please allow us to now reveal MediBloc’s new face!

The symbol has three slanting lines reminiscent of the letter M. Particularly, in the last straight line, the dots convey a sense of medical information moving quickly and easily, much like the blockchain-based healthcare information ecosystem we’re building, something that delivers healthcare information with equal speed and security.

Additionally, the logotype has been changed to exclusively lowercase letters to give the impression of youth, charm, and innovation. As for the color, we kept the existing blue but applied it after making slight color adjustments so as not to vary too much from the existing logo.

#4. Stay tuned!

As we underwent a rebranding, it was important that the values that MediBloc aimed for matched the atmosphere MediBloc set. The most effective way to deliver the MediBloc brand is to have a consistent voice and a system that extends throughout the framework. That’s why we talked and thought a lot about MediBloc’s mission, slogan, logo, and everything else that could modify our brand. With the values created by this process, we are still adjusting and perfecting things bit by bit.

We’re going to be consistent in the big picture, but we are also going to attempt various methods and tell new stories to showcase MediBloc’s endless potential.

But of course, we do not expect to find the right answer; not immediately, anyway. But that’s why the branding process needs to be consistent and we need to keep looking for better colors based on all the feedback we can get. As we grow, we will reach you better based on our unique colors and stories.
