[ANN] MediBloc in Korea signed a MOU with Severance hospital

On June 17th, MediBloc in Korea, and Severance Hospital signed an MOU to develop blockchain-based health information platform. On this day, Dr. Byung Seok Lee, the general director of Severance Hospital, and Dr. Eunsol Lee, and Dr. Allen Wookyun Kho, the co-founders of MediBloc in Korea participated at the MOU ceremony and exchanged the signed documents.

With this MOU signing, MediBloc in Korea and Severance Hospital will start cooperating to establish blockchain based health information platform. Also, MediBloc in Korea will enhance its health information platform for health data exchange and stabilize its networks.

Severance hospital, MediBloc in Korea’s 11th MOU, is one of Korea’s “Big 5” hospital and it has been reforming itself as a smart hospital through adopting high-end technologies such as AI recording solution that automatically documents the interpretation opinion of an image data and uploads on the system. In pursuit of the quality improvement of medical service through the specialization of medical examinations and treatments for the first time in Korea, Severance Hospital manages the Cancer Center, Rehabilitation Hospital, Cardiovascular Hospital, EYE & ENT Hospital, Children Hospital, Emergency Care Center, International Health Care Center and Specialized Clinic. In addition, Severance Hospital has created a new medical culture focused on customers through the investigation of a customer satisfaction survey, Quality Improvement(QI) Division management and Service Manual manufacture, following the first Korean promulgation of the ‘Patient’s Bill of Rights’ in 1993.

At the ceremony, Dr. Byung Seok Lee said, “ We are very happy to be working with MediBloc Korea. With our cooperation with MediBloc Korea, we expect to provide our patients with high quality personalized medical care through developing total health information system.”

Dr. Allen Wookyun Kho, co-founder of MediBloc in Korea, highlighted that “MediBloc in Korea will discuss the specifics of the platform development with Severance Hospital, a hospital with excellent medical staff and service. Starting with constructing an integrated health information system, MediBloc will strive to gain a competitive edge by working with major domestic hospitals, set a model example in healthcare industry and become a pioneering company in healthcare. Hereafter, MediBloc plans to have patients safely manage their healthcare information with all the services that lets patients utilize their health information.

Currently, MediBloc in Korea is working with Seoul National University hospital and Cha Medical University in a “MyData project”. We will continue to strive for excellence and expand our medical network. Thank you for your continued support!
