Dr.palette Supports Telemedicine for COVID-19 Home Treatment.

MediBloc in Korea’s next-generation cloud EMR, Dr.palette, provides an infrastructure optimized for providing telemedicine through local hospitals and clinics for COVID-19 at-home treatment.

The government has announced that it will share its role in responding to COVID-19 with local hospitals from February 3, due to the rapid spread of Omicron mutations. As a result, local hospitals have provided medical examinations and prescriptions for patients with respiratory symptoms, such as fevers and coughs, as well as an at-home treatment. However, health monitoring and telemedicine for COVID-19 patients are conducted 24 hours a day only for hospitals and clinics that have previously applied for COVID-19 testing and treatment, but there is still no medical records system designed specifically for telemedicine.

At this time, Dr.palette is attracting a great deal of attention because it is able to access the web and conduct treatment without a separate installation.

This is highly accessible because hospitals that do not have remote treatment systems in place for COVID-19 patients who require night observation provide an environment for patients receiving at-home treatment through Dr.palette.

In the case of local hospitals without existing night care systems, a telemedicine environment has been inconvenient or impossible up until now. This is because medical staff must reside at their respective clinics 24 hours a day, respond to patient inquiries, and conduct telemedicine. However, Dr.palette is not limited to a particular place, so telemedicine is also available at medical workers’ homes. In addition, when establishing a 24-hour medical institution, doctors on duty can easily search for and conduct treatment for registered patients in different hospitals, providing an environment specialized for telemedicine for home treatment of infectious diseases.

Eunsol Lee, CEO of MediBloc in Korea, said, “If the companies that build local hospitals and medical infrastructure work together to support home treatment for infectious disease patients, more patients will be able to receive medical assistance.”

In the future, Dr.palette will develop from the perspective of medical personnel, allowing them to focus fully on caring for patients and work more closely with more patients.

Cloud EMR, Dr.palette, a system for everyone, is here right now.
