MediBloc signed a MOU Eunseong Medical Foundation

On April 24, MediBloc and the Eunseong Medical Foundation, the largest medical foundation in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, South Korea, South Korea, signed an MOU to establish a healthcare information platform.

Koo Jaseong, vice chairman of the Eunseong Medical Foundation, and Dr. Eunsol Lee and Dr. Allen Wookyun Kho, co-founders of MediBloc, participated in a celebratory ceremony which was held online due to concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic.

With this new MOU, the institutions will cooperate to build and utilize a next-generation electronic hospital record (EHR) system and personal health records (PHR) for patients’ convenience, and they will share facilities, human resources, and networks to achieve these goals. Founded in 1991, the Eunseong Medical Foundation is a non-profit medical corporation with 11 hospitals, 3,000 hospital beds, and 3,200 employees across Busan and the provinces of South Gyeongsang and North Gyeongsang. Its nursing hospitals include Good Culture Hospital, Good Samseon Hospital, Good Gangan Hospital, Good Samjeong Hospital (in Ulsan), Good Seonrin Hospital (in Pohang), and Good Love Nursing Hospital.

Dr. Koo Jaseong, vice chairman of the Eunseong Medical Foundation said, “Especially in Korea, a leading IT powerhouse, the Fourth Industrial Revolution is expediting technological developments in relevant fields. I expect to give patients the best service as MediBloc, with its exceptional blockchain technology, and our foundation, with its diverse and robust clinical trial experience, continue to cooperate.”

Dr. Eunsol Lee, co-founder of MediBloc added, “We will carry out comprehensive business projects to build an integrated healthcare information platform,” and emphasized, “MediBloc will continue to expand its business scope to help patients safely manage their medical data and develop an exemplary case of the health data ecosystem. We are working closely with big hospitals and institutions and discussing how they can be connected with the platform and service.”
