MediBloc in Korea is delighted to announce that it has expanded its simple, effective claims and queuing notification services based on Medipass to include all Good Moonhwa Hospital patients!

On September 27, 2021, MediBloc in Korea successfully completed the link-up between Medipass and the Good Moonhwa Hospital, based at Eunseong Medical Foundation. Using the Medipass app, everyone who already has medical data to the Good Moonhwa Hospital, can easily retrieve their medical history data via Medipass. Medipass also provides mobile patient cards and queuing notification services for the Good Moonhwa Hospital. Patients can use the Pass Claim Plus service enabling them to claim insurance from 39 different Korean insurance companies, without ever needing to produce a single piece of documentation.

In April, 2020, MediBloc in Korea signed a MOU with Eunseong Medical Foundation, Korea’s representative medical corporation for 11 hospitals, to build a ‘next-generation electronic hospital record (EHR) system and personal health records (PHR) for patients’ convenience’. Since then, MediBloc in Korea has continued discussing the platform construction’s details with Good Moonhwa Hospital, while focusing on upgrading the medical information platform for improved medical data exchange and stabilizing the blockchain and related networks. In addition, MediBloc in Korea has developed a user-friendly insurance claim process that enables Good Moonhwa Hospital patients to experience a simpler, more secure insurance claim process. It has succeeded in building an advanced medical data forgery detection system using blockchain too.

In South Korea, the Good Moonhwa Hospital is proud to be ranked as 90th in Korea’s Best Hospitals 2021. It’s also ranked top among private hospitals in Busan, alongside other world leading hospitals (World’s Best Hospitals 2021), according to information released by Newsweek in the United States. In addition, the Good Moonhwa Hospital is values-led and has been practicing the core values of “customer-oriented culture, patient-centered hospitals”. State-of-the-art examples include: introducing AI-based video reading systems and equipment, establishing wireless biometric signal transmission systems, operating screening clinics, and installing speed gates for access management.

Dr. Lee Eunsol, co-founder of MediBloc in Korea, said, “We are pleased to be able to successfully complete the link-up with the Good Moonhwa Hospital in Eunseong Medical Foundation, the largest medical foundation in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam. Now, all our patients who use the Good Moonhwa Hospital can receive their medical data through the Medipass app and have access to a straightforward insurance claims procedure.”

He went to add: “Also, we’re extremely pleased that we’re able to provide a more convenient service for patients with Medipass who can access the latest queuing notification updates at the hospital which many Busan patients visit. In the future, we’re determined to continue developing more trailblazing examples of best practice for the medical information ecosystem by expanding the scope of our business in multiple directions, so that patients can easily and safely manage their medical information.”

MediBloc in Korea will continue to focus on building a patient-centric platform and increasing linkages with various insurance companies and medical institutions. We will do our best to build the medical ecosystem that MediBloc dreams of. We ask for your interest and support.

Thanks MediBloc team.
