Hello!

This is the MediBloc team.

MediBloc in Korea has recently expanded the simple claims service based on MediPass, its medical data blockchain platform, to include patients of Yonsei University Gangnam Severance Hospital! In March of this year, MediBloc in Korea successfully completed the linkage between Medipass and the hospital, so now if visitors to Gangnam Severance Hospital can easily and conveniently retrieve their medical history data and make insurance claims.

Gangnam Severance Hospital, which opened in 1983, is one of South Korea’s most representative general hospitals and currently operates 824 beds. It has the best medical service environment for the safety of its medical staff and patients alike, including a recent expansion of patient beds, improvement to the ventilation facilities inside the ward, and the establishment of distant communication channels with partner hospitals and clinics.

Medipass is a medical data platform that allows patients to manage and use their personal medical data digitally without changing formats. Once a user has completed a simple self-certification, they can check up to the last three years of their medical history at any hospital linked to Medipass. Furthermore, Medipass provides a pass-claim service that allows patients to file insurance claims with only five gestures and in about 10 seconds.

Eunsol Lee, a co-founder of MediBloc in Korea, said, “We are pleased to successfully complete this linkage with Gangnam Severance Hospital. We expect that all of the hospital’s patients will be able to check their medical history through Medipass and that we can provide each of them with more convenient insurance billing services.”

He added, “Many general hospitals are becoming smart hospitals that can better protect their medical staff and patients while enhancing patient convenience in the post-coronavirus era. In the days ahead, we will continue to create best practices for the healthcare data ecosystem by expanding the scope of our business to help patients more efficiently manage their medical information and do so more safely.”

We will do our very best to build the MediBloc medical ecosystem we’re all dreaming of. With your continued interest and help, we will get there!

Thanks!
