Nikkei x NUS Enterprise: AI & Robotics Solutions for Service Innovation
At the event jointly organised by Nikkei and NUS Enterprise, Professor Ooi Beng Chin, Co-Founder of MediLOT, gave a keynote speech on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare. The event was well-attended, with Dr. Amy Khor (Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Health, Environment and Water Resources) gracing us with her presence as the Guest-of-Honour.

In his speech, Prof Ooi spoke about the utility that AI offers in the healthcare industry and how MediLOT effectuates this. Using a proprietary AI suite named GEMINI (Generalisable Medical Information Analysis and Integration Platform) developed over the last six years, MediLOT provides a personalised and comprehensive medical system for patients.
Using data analytics and AI, re-admission and disease progression modelling is now possible with MediLOT. When a patient is discharged from a hospital, GEMINI can predict whether the patient will be re-admitted into the hospital again within the next 30 days. By working with hospitals, tools such as readmission predictors, disease progression models and precision medicine models can be scaled up massively — truly transforming healthcare for all.
