5 ways to BOOST your Self-confidence and Self-esteem!!
When we feel confident about ourselves, we tend to take on more challenges, go out more, and take a step out of our comfort zone to be sure that we are moving in the right direction. Although at times we don’t feel that confident about ourselves or about those decisions that we are making. This can once in a while with anyone but if it keeps on happening then it becomes a problem.
Your self-esteem is a mix of- your confidence, a sense of identity you carry, a sense of belonging, and being self-assured of your abilities.
There can be times when you do not feel up to your best self, or the times when you do not feel like facing the world because you do not feel like you belong.
It’s okay to feel that way! At times even the best of best does feel the same but what sets them apart is how they picked themselves up.
Here are a few tips that can help boost your confidence and self-esteem-
Be kind to yourself.
Being kind is the key. Recognize the unkind thoughts that are coming your way and challenge them. You do not have to accept every thought just because it originates from your mind. Our mind is a complicated web which absorbs everything that is happening and presents us with a lot of thoughts overtime. It is important to control these thoughts and see which ones we need and which ones we do not. Be kind about the thoughts that you let in about yourself. This will play a big role in boosting your self-esteem and confidence.
Focus on Positives
Yes, it is important to see where you are lacking and to improve those parts. But it is equally important to pat yourself on the back once in a while for the things you are good at. This will give you the confidence and your self-esteem a push that can help you achieve your goals and excel at the things where you are lacking.
It is crucial for you to understand that you cannot be amazing at everything. Things that you want to improve, give it your best, but don’t beat yourself over everything you are not the best at.
Act when you don’t feel it.
Start by practicing a speech or a position in front of the mirror, then work your way up to acting confident in front of people. However, if you can keep it up, you’ll realize that you’re no longer acting after a time.
Repeat affirmations
Repeat affirmations that can help you feel good about yourself and boost your confidence. Start by saying small things and as soon as you absorb those, move on to using music to ground yourself and keep a check on the alignment of your chakras. When your chakras are balanced, it helps you make sure that you are all set to take on new challenges.
Practice as needed.
Do not run away from practice. You might need it more than others or not, but till the time comes that you need it, make sure that you are investing time in doing so. Anything that you invest yourself in, you are capable of achieving.
