On the roads from Wailea to Lahaina you'll ride in the Trade Winds, like sailors for centuries have done. The wind pushes your back instead of filling a sail and once you get up to speed, keep the pressure on the pedals to cover the 60 miles in 3.5 hours or less. Modulate your speed as the terrain changes along the coast, note the windmills, stop for a snack in Maalaea, and say hello at West Maui Cycles.

We ride this route at sun tanning space and enjoy the effort annually. Occasionally seeing whales near this spot at the lookout.
