Rode a Freeride Bike

Been riding in the mountains lately

Apparently never used my T-Rex-style, cyclist-adapted arms for anything but steering and steadying myself on the bike, cause they hurt after 3 days of lift riding during Scott Week. What would Richard from Pinkbike say, I wonder? Something like…

Roadies that mountain bike just lean on the bike, like they're a bar, with their arms bent.

I finished my runs on the 2015 version of this Voltage… and the Swiss engineer that designed it, asked how it went. I tried to sound like I had some authoritative knowledge with, ‘A bit tight.’ Then he told me in extensive detail how the suspension coil was too large for me and I should try a medium next.

“Allright,” I replied and took a big pull from hydration pack bite valve, thinking of how I’d review a freeride bike.

“I just rode a freeride bike,” is all I got so far.

It was super fun with my arms up and out in the attack position on the singletrack.
