And the winner is…
Quincy Carroll, for his story “Up to the Mountains and Down to the Countryside,” about an American teacher trying to find his way from a train station to a teaching job in China.
After graduating from college, Quincy took a job in banking, which he quit to work in a pub and move to China. He is currently enrolled in the MFA program in fiction at Emerson College in Boston. Read more about Quincy here.
The contest had 59 entries that garnered 1,051 votes. We congratulate all of the finalists, including Kai Chan, for “First Cut,” and Jennifer Young, for “School for Adventurers: The Girls’ Bath.”
