She was crawling for windows. Scavenging for leaves. She hadn’t fully realized she was even inside at all. He found her and thought she was pretty. He wasn’t afraid of her gift of flight. He placed his hand into barriers to redirect her into a glass he had found in the kitchen. But instead of letting her outside, he watched her struggle along the sides. He watched her struggle against the glass. Her feet ran and slid, and she ended up on her back…
