Algarve — Portugal (2023)

2023 was a year full of challenges, surprises, new achievements and twists and turns.

One of the most memorable moments deserves to be highlighted in my last poem of 2023.

My sheet of paper,

How many stories did we live in 2023?

Shall we remember?

There are things I only tell you,

But there are happy endings,

That we should share.

After turning 30,

I didn’t even want to believe it,

The moon changed so many tides,

I have always trusted her,

The secrets I told the sea,

I asked him if he would bring,

A tide of faith,

The strength to believe.

That day when fear looked at me in the mirror,

And he asked me if I could keep a secret,

The path took me to the beach,

In a yearning.

I knew what had to be done,

Hope and unity,

They ended up screaming louder in my chest.

I kept the pen in my pocket,
