What About The Fear Index?

Overall, a surge in the fear index (volatility index) may indicate a possible recovery.

As you can see in the chart below, the fall of the leading Russian Stock Index (IMOEX) began on October 14, 2021. The first stages of the fall were caused by various negative information on the Bloomberg news platform. Then foreign traders/investors began to look for ways to shorten the Russian economy.

Actually, there are not so many financial and exchange instruments here to short or long the Russian economy…
