Case Study: 44 years female with Left Breast Cancer
Background: According to WHO survey in 2010, breast cancer was the commonest type of malignancy in Iraq. The study showed that nearly half of patients who diagnosed with breast cancer presented in advanced stages (III and IV) and DNA analysis showed majority (80.3%) of the carcinomas were aneuploid.
Clinical History: Status post core biopsy dated May 18, 2020, FDG PET/CT for staging.
Our Finding: This is an abnormal baseline FDG PET/CT study.
A hypermetabolic soft tissue mass involving upper outer quadrant of left breast and hypermetabolic subcentimetre left axillary lymph nodes.
Multiple hypermetabolic mixed osteolytic bony metastasis.
No evidence of hypermetabolic pulmonary, hepatic, splenic or adrenal metastasis.
Stage IV.
