The above images are results of CT coronary angiogram which is a heart-imaging test using our Siemens 128-slice CT scanner. Happily, results of this patient were seen to be normal!

This CT procedure evaluates for non-invasively determining whether fatty deposits or calcium deposits have built up in the coronary arteries, which supply blood to the heart muscle.

CT coronary angiogram is particularly useful in below group of patients:

1. Intermediate to high-risk profiles for coronary artery disease, but who do not have typical symptoms (especially chest pain, shortness of breath, or fatigue during heavy physical activity.)

2. Unusual symptoms for coronary artery disease (such as chest pain unrelated to physical exertion), but low to intermediate risk profiles for coronary artery disease.

3. Unclear or inconclusive stress-test (treadmill test) results.
