“Security” is our middle name 👮

Security is paramount when it comes to Internet of Things. We cannot let anyone send or receive data to or from your Widgets. We made sure that when you use Meeo, no one can tamper with your data.

Namespace and Access Key

The great thing about MQTT is that it features authentication through username and password. How cool is that!?

When you create an account in Meeo, you will be given a namespace and an accesskey. This serves as your username and password , respectively, when you use Meeo for custom applications over MQTT. More details about Meeo over MQTT can be found here.

To display your Meeo Credentials, just click/press your “User” button near the “Add Widget” button at the Navigation Bar. The “User” button looks like the image below:

After pressing the “User” button, the “Credentials Box” will appear:

Take note of the namespace and accesskey. You will use this for the Meeo Arduino Library.
