October is the month we celebrated World Mental Health Day (October 10). And as we step into the ninth month of a quarantined life and a work-from-home situation, the conversation around mental health has become even more pertinent. Fortunately, Meesho’s free, in house learning and developing platform — Learnovate — is here to help with several self paced courses that stress on mindfulness, our mental well being especially in the current situation, how to be productive and how to cope with stress and anxiety.

Meeshoites are taking these courses and feeling more empowered to deal with the vagaries of quarantine life.

Mental Health for Coping with Stress and Anxiety (Coronavirus)

Course Provider: Udemy

This course is prepping Meeshoites on how to develop a growth mindset and identify areas in which they can learn and grow, how to find opportunity in crisis, and how to cope with stress and anxiety during quarantine and social distancing. The aim: to help participants keep a check on their mental health and well being especially during isolation, quarantine and anxiety. So that anxiety doesn’t stop us from being your most productive self while working from home, this course also equip participants with tips on what to do when at home — that will help us learn, grow and thrive. Because even when we feel like we have no control over our circumstances, we can still control what we focus on, how we feel, and how we react.

Mindfulness Certificate Course ( Levels I, II, III & Master)

Course Provider: Udemy

Mindfulness is a time-proven education that enables intense personal growth and improvement. Studying mindfulness enables its learners to cultivate positive mental health and make wise decisions in the midst of pressure, crisis or stress. The Mindfulness Certificate Course (Level I, II, III & Master) equips participants with a broad toolkit of vital principles and useful methods for building an effective mindfulness practice. In this course, participants will explore three fundamental concepts of mindfulness: awareness (both internal and external), non-judgement (of others and ourselves), and living life in the present moment (including how to quiet unhelpful thoughts and make peace with past adverse experiences). The course has been designed from the perspective of Modern Applied Psychology.

Mindfulness for Anxiety and Sleep — with Tara Brach

Course Provider: Udemy

This course, taught by psychologist and author Tara Brach, shows how every one of us can find reliable inner resources of safety, strength and connection. Drawing on these resources, we can stay present when fear arises and meet the situation bravely, wisely, with interest and care. Participants will learn to respond, rather than react.

Meditate For How You Feel

Course Provider: Udemy

In this course, participants learn how to work with, instead of fight, their current emotional state and ease into meditation. The approach to meditation is organic and it can be easily integrated into one’s daily routine, and the mental and physical benefits can be enjoyed possibly long term. Participants will be taken through an individualised approach to meditation, based on their current emotional state, practice meditation techniques, find out their Ayurvedic mind-body constitution, pay attention to their diet and use their breath to relax, cool down, warm up and lift their spirits.

Power of the Mind in Health and Healing

Course Provider: Udemy

This course is designed to take those enrolled on a journey of mind-body mastery, starting with basics such as mindfulness, meditation and then advancing on to working on one’s subconscious to facilitate healing. There are easy mind-body techniques to learn on how to maximise present moment awareness and how to change our perception to experience less stress.
