Favorite Book: La delicatesse David Foenkinos
Favorite Animal: Whale
Favorite Travel Destination: Hawaii

When Juliette was looking for jobs after moving to the United States from France she knew she wanted to make a difference. “To me I had to be doing something that would make a positive impact on society. This meant education, healthcare or work to reduce poverty”. Around this time she met the co-founders of Lalilo through a friend. Their quick coffee meeting soon turned into a three hour passionate discussion about education. Juliette was sold!

Around the same time Juliette started volunteering at a local Oakland, California school. She describes this experience as ‘truly humbling’. “Teachers are the most incredible and passionate people you’ll ever meet in any industry” she shared. As a School Partner she has talked to over 1000 teachers and, “each one has been kind and amazing”.

Juliette is so proud to be working with Lalilo because bringing high quality literacy programs to schools allows her to take part in the bigger mission of supporting educators to change the world one student at a time.

When Juliette is not helping Lalilo grow she’s in the ocean kitesurfing. Growing up on Reunion Island instilled a deep love of the sea, which is one of the many reasons why she loves living in San Francisco!
