Meet the Staff — Colleen LeBlanc

We are featuring Colleen LeBlanc this month in our Meet the Staff Program! Colleen is on our Business Development team here at Benson Systems and she has been here for about two and a half years!

Colleen is actually not an Arizona native; she is from Calgary, Alberta, Canada! She has her degree in business from the University of Phoenix. Her first job was working at Dairy Queen, and fun fact, it was the year the Blizzard came out! Now that she found her way to Benson, she says that her favorite part is the friendly environment and comradery amongst the employees.

Colleen had a pot belly pig named Stella for 4 and a half years but had to relinquish her to a rescue farm because she became too aggressive. She now has a rescue dog named Ace, which is her first dog ever! Ace is a year old and part Poodle, part Jack Russel Terrier.

In Colleen’s spare time, she volunteers at a retirement center called Beautitudes, where she does crafts and watch movies. She couldn’t pick just one favorite food, but she loves Pho Soup, fries and gravy, and Mexican food (who doesn’t?). When she finds time to go on a vacation, she loves to go to Whistler, BC but also loves Flagstaff or Greer for a staycation! The last book that Colleen read was Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn.

Another interesting fact about Colleen, is that she was a host mom to a foreign exchange student from South Korea for three years. He just graduated this past year and is now going to college at George Mason in DC.
When asked what Colleen sees herself doing in the next 5 to 10 years, she responded with: “I have a passion for elderly people and I want to represent them and will be a part of some political forum to advocate and be the voice for senior citizens.” All of us here at Benson Systems thinks that that is great! We are glad to have Colleen as part of our fantastic team!
