As we get nearer to launching Beam’s limited-feature Private Beta, we’re excited to share some important announcements with you!
Updates to the “Top 10” Contest
As you already know, the Top 10 individuals on Beam’s waitlist will be awarded with a 7% Reward for the first 100 days from our initial launch date.
Earlier this month, we’ve announced to the top 30,000 waitlisters that the contest will be tabulated as of March 27, 2018 at 3pm PST / 6pm EST (the “Evaluation Date”). Per request from some of our community members, we have decided to extend this Evaluation Date by 72 hours to March 30 at 3pm PST / 6pm EST. This means that the Top 10 waitlisters will now be tabulated based on your waitlist position as of then.
On Maintaining Waitlist Integrity
It has come to our attention that some waitlisters are attempting to advance themselves on the waitlist through inauthentic behaviors.
Integrity and trust is central to Beam’s core belief, and it’s our duty to ensure that our waitlist process is fair for all community members. For that reason, we will be closely monitoring the waitlist and will adjust the spot of anyone caught attempting to cheat their way higher on the list. In addition to losing credit for any false referrals, these individuals may be disqualified from participating in Beam completely, depending on the severity of each situation.

Beam Private Beta is Here!
As you may have heard earlier, we will begin to roll out Beam’s limited-feature Private Beta in about a week. This Private Beta rollout process will be phased and may take some time to get to you. Rest assured, we will be rolling people off of the waitlist on a weekly basis.
When it’s your turn to receive the invite, expect an email from us. Until then, to ensure that you do get our emails, please verify your email by re-entering it on our pre-launch site, and follow the instructions to complete your email verification.
As planned, we will share more details about our Private Beta phased rollout in a week.
Introducing the Trial Account
Since this Private Beta rollout process will be phased and may take some time to get to you, earlier this month, we polled members of our community and asked if they would be interested in a Trial Account for Beam.
The Trial Account will function the same as the Private Beta, but is one where you can only deposit up to $400, try out to see if Beam really “works”, and earn 2–4% a year for your balance. Opting-in for a Trial Account does NOT change your position on the waitlist for the Private Beta, but will enable you to try out the Beam experience earlier. The funds will be insured by Evolve Bank & Trust; member FDIC. To qualify to immediately download the Trial Account, you’re required to have been a “referrer”, i.e. have invited at least one friend to the Beam waitlist who has verified his/her email.
