Ending the Alpha 🇺🇸
Cleo launched in the USA back in March this year . We’ve been amazed at the response since. The 10,000 and 100,000 user milestones seem only the other day. Yet now more of you (y’all — we’re getting there) are talking to Cleo in the US than in the UK.
Today we’re excited to announce that Cleo has over 400,000 users in the US, and we’re officially ending the Alpha.
Revisiting The Big List
Remember the Big List we published a few months back? When the Alpha launched, we knew we had lots of work to do to bring the same features across the pond that we already offered in the UK.
We also encouraged your feedback… and got plenty of it. Our US Community Facebook Group now has over 16,000 members and has been instrumental in guiding us to improve every aspect of the product. We’ve changed the way balances are refreshed, revamped budgets, improved bill classification, added manual bill entry and Wallets, and lots, lots more as a direct result of community feedback.
As we’ve ticked more and more off the list, we’re ready to bring the product out of Alpha, and look to what we hope will be an even bigger year in 2019.
Out of Alpha, but lots to do
Of course, we’ve still got a huge amount to do. Lots of improvements to make, bugs to fix, and new features to launch. In the coming months we’ll be working on new Wallet features, such as sending money to friends, and improving Cleo+ so you can make simple investments, get overdraft cover, and easily keep on top of your credit score.
Did we also mention we’re building our own app, due to launch early next year?
The Alpha group isn’t going anywhere. We’ll keep listening to your feedback, and want to use the community to get early testers for features before they’re released to everyone else.
Finally, you might have noticed Cleo has an updated look and feel today. We think it’s a subtle, but bold update to our design to take us into our next chapter of growth.
