Hemp Tea: Why You Should Drink It

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of over 450 distinct compounds found in hemp and is found in other plant species such as echinacea and kale. CBD is a phytocannabinoid (naturally occurring in cannabis) and is non-psychoactive.

You can ingest CBD in various different forms. In case you enjoy vaping electronic cigarettes, you can get your hands on CBD e-liquids at our e-shop. However, we do not recommend vaping if you do not already smoke, but do not worry, there are more possibilities for you. You can consume cannabis in forms of CBD oil, hemp seeds, and juiced cannabis and also a hemp tea.

Tea is an ancient drink originating from Asia. Traditionally it is prepared with tea leaves, however, steeped hemp leaves can be considered as a tea as well. You don’t have to be worried about the psychoactive effect of THC because hemp contains no more than 0.2 %. At this small concentration, users will not feel “high” after consuming the tea.

How to prepare the hemp tea?

Preparation of hemp tea is very similar to any other tea. You should take 1 teaspoon per cup and pour hot water over it. You should let it steep (soak in water) for 2–5 minutes, depending on how strong you want the tea. As with any other tea, you can modify it to taste by sweetening it, adding milk or a squeeze of lemon.
