Two newsletters in the space of two weeks; this is a first! We would like to update you on APES or Space Apes….. Now called Megapont Space Administration. That’s the first news — we have decided to rename the Space Apes to Megapont Space Administration. The acronym is cleaner, and the name fits into our larger plans.
Megapont Space Administration
We have spent around nine months working on MSA and the associated art. The website has been done for some time. This has been a labour of love for Weasly and signifies more than just a derivative drop for Megapont.
We consider this mint to be an evolution of the Apes we all know and love, which released back in 2021. Therefore, it makes sense for MSA to be our one-year anniversary mint.
There are two key components to the MSA mint.
- Every Megapont Ape is eligible to mint one suit for the cost of 1 Megacoin.
- There is a sale for 2,500 MSA suits at the original mint cost of 50STX.
You will have ten days to purchase your MSA suit with Megacoin. After this, any remaining suits from the Megacoin sale will go to the DAO treasury. The 50STX sale for the other 2,500 MSA suits will last until it sells out.
Half of the Megacoin generated from the sale will go to the DAO treasury.
The eligibility requirements for the Stacks general sale will be similar to how the original Megapont mint worked. You will need to react to a message in Discord to win a role.
We are not concerned with locking down the second phase of the mint process to Apes only because you need to own a Megapont Ape to create an MSA Ape. Golden Apes rejoice! You will be able to create more Golden Apes.
Here is a look at something we have been toying with internally. We decided that the extra time afforded to us by making the MSA our anniversary mint meant we would upgrade the entire Ape.
This, in our opinion, makes Megapont some of the best PFP pixel art you will find in any project.
When you create an MSA Ape, two images will be attached to the metadata, one with the suit and one without. We will work with Gamma and Byzantion to ensure that both images are easily accessible to you.

A main area of focus for us over the next three months is to roll out a new version of the Megapont website.
This will be somewhere we can direct new community members as well as those looking to learn more about who we are and what we do.
One big redevelopment area we have targeted is to improve asset ownership verification and to create a better way to see your collection of Megapont assets across Stacks and Ethereum.
We will also feature a rarity browser for all of our collections.
Weasley’s PFP
365 Primates will be joining Megapont via a daily auction for each unique piece.
We said we would stop doing this, but I mistakenly set it as a PFP globally instead of a private server, and a few people noticed.
