Welcome to our eleventh newsletter. It has been a while, and for good reason. The team is currently building two NFT collections that will be released in Q4 of 2022: Megapont Space Administration and Kong Fu. Both of these collections are very ambitious and bear more resemblance to the Robot Factory than to MegaKongs.
We have some exciting news and updates to share. Let’s get right into it.
New website. Finally.
Our current website has not had many major updates in the year that it has been live. The data is outdated, and the content is not particularly useful if you are trying to figure out what Megapont is.
Therefore, we have been working on a new and much-improved website that will be more informative and provide a better user experience.
We are working on some Robot Factory issues on the current website before we point megapont.com to the new website.
- We are working on giving you the ability to see all your Megapont NFTs across blockchains. This feature is coming soon.
- The Megapont marketplace is being deprecated as there are far better alternatives now, such as Gamma and Tradeport.
- Holder profiles will be dynamic very soon. For now, we grabbed some from the previously completed form.
The website will likely change between now and the move to megapont.com
Megapont Space Administration(MSA)
MSA is releasing on October 26th, the day of the one-year anniversary of Megapont on Stacks. The MSA previews Weasly has shared with the community have been nothing short of incredible. We understand that you are hungry for additional details on this mint, so we have highlighted the most important information as well as some frequently asked questions below.
The MSA mint will consist of two core sales running concurrently: the Megapont Ape spacesuit mint and the Steady Lads spacesuit mint.
- Each Megapont Ape will be airdropped a spacesuit on October 26th.
- 2,500 additional Megapont Ape spacesuits will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis, priced at 50 STX.
The Steady Lads spacesuit mint will also happen on October 26th and will be on a first-come-first-serve basis for Steady Lads holders only. The pricing for this is yet to be determined. We will engage with the community in order to determine fair pricing for the Steady Lads spacesuits.
How do I get the updated Ape without a spacesuit on?
Every MSA NFT will have two images on the metadata once the spacesuit has been put on an Ape. Note: you cannot get access to the original Megapont Ape on the 80x80 canvas without putting a spacesuit on that Ape.

The new Megapont website will allow you to see both of these images easily and quickly. Additionally, we are confident both Gamma and Tradeport will support viewing dual images on a single NFT.
Can I put more than one spacesuit on my Ape?
Yes. You can make 100 versions of your clean green ape wearing different spacesuits if you want to do that.
Can I sell the spacesuit used and unused?
Yes. The market dynamics on this will be interesting.
Can I sell the airdropped spacesuit?
Yes.
We will be holding numerous AMAs leading up to the launch of MSA, but please hop into Discord if you have any questions in the meantime.
Kong Fu
The Kong Fu NFT experience is now set to release in November. There are several reasons for this delay, but the most significant factor is that we want to ensure an enjoyable experience for collectors that is not time-gated.
What does this mean? The entire Kong Fu experience will be available upon launch to play from start to finish.
Additionally, we have brought on three new team members, including two voice actors and a marketing individual. Bringing the total head count working on Kong Fu to 12, excluding Slinger and Faze. We never count them.
We are so excited to show the world what an NFT collection can be when you focus on providing a fun experience to your collectors.
That is not all for today on Kong Fu. We wanted to introduce you to 5 key characters you will become familiar with during your Kong Fu experience.
Agomek — The oldest, but certainly not wisest, member of the clan. He’ll always have your back, but you better watch yours if you cross him.
Okamé — Pragmatic, wise and welcoming. The first one you’d call to get you out of a jam. She’s the thread that holds this crazy crew together when everything is coming apart at the seams.
Gonk — Don’t let his size fool you, Gonk is the baby of the group. Loveable, innocent and full of wonder…he’s got it all. And oh yeah — he’s a hugger.
Nekoma — Nekoma is over it, and she’s not afraid to let you know — in the most sarcastic way possible. She’s incredibly world weary for her age but she makes up for it with a dazzling smile. /s
Emonga — He’s a little scatter-brained with a LOT of energy. Emonga is the most curious gorilla of the gang (for better or worse). You’d better keep an eye on this one.
One more thing.
Merch.
If you wanted to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Megapont on Stacks with some merch, you will be able to do exactly this with this awesome bomber jacket made by Alpha Industries.
There will be 300 jackets available on a first-come-first-serve basis to holders of either a Megapont Ape or any amount of MegaCoin. You will be able to select your preferred size and then mint the NFT. This NFT can be redeemed for the physical jacket. After redemption, your NFT will update to become non-transferable.
The jacket will cost around 500 STX. This price is subject to change as it is fixed to a USD-based cost of manufacturing.
