Welcome to the seventeenth Megapont newsletter.
This newsletter includes significant changes to Megapont and how we operate as a project. We’ve been here since 2021 and have done everything from evolving NFTs, shitcoins, governance tokens, launched a DAO, had a genesis drop, an Ordinals drop, airdropped many things, had crazy parties and raffled off a $120,000 Moonbird.
In a prior newsletter, we talked about Megapont's acquisition of Apollo. Most people assumed this was a nothing burger, just a poor attempt by us to clean up our ecosystem.
Strap the fuck in.
Apollo
The original vision for Apes Together was to create a small community of builders, artists, and investors. We have remained true to that vision to this day. Now, it’s time to bring it into Megapont in the right way.
From this point on, Megapont will no longer fuck about with utility tied to Apes, Kongs, Punks or any other NFTs. There’s more inherent risk of doing something wrong now than the minimal airdrop upside from NFTs. We want our art to be art, our cool experience to be cool experiences and forget about forcing a financial ROI to holders and the team on everything we do.
Apollo will now be the utility hub for everything Megapont. Apollo will relaunch on Monday 18th March with the following utility:
- Inscriptions paid for with $PIXE
- Ordinal, Ethereum and Stacks snapshots
- Ordinal, Ethereum and Stacks token-based raffles
Is that all? No, don’t be stupid.
As a team, we recognise that we have been too cautious and apprehensive about pushing the limits of what an NFT can be. The most important thing we can do for our community is drive value to either the assets they hold or the benefits received from the assets they hold.
Our goal is to build everything into Apollo. Some will bang, some will suck. But it will be the utility hub we all wanted it to be. We have a dedicated Apollo team working on delivering the utility hub, you know the thing it should have been from day one.
There is a new role in the Megapont Discord for Apollo holders who have access to the Apollo channel.
Inscription Service
Launch Monday, March 18th, yes, Monday. This is long overdue and lays the foundations for the teleburn service that will also live on Apollo.
Anyone can log in to Apollo and inscribe content, paying for the inscription in $PIXE. The inscription process will have a small surcharge, which is in line with what you see on other services.
This is the first inscription service to enable the creation of an Ordinal without paying the fee using Bitcoin.
After a few weeks, you can pay with Solana, Ethereum, USDC, USDT, Portal, and many other tokens. At this stage, $PIXE will receive a discount of at least 50%.
The teleburn service will follow once we have established stability with the core inscription service. Teleburn will involve multiple inscriptions simultaneously to ensure users can teleburn multiple NFTs in one transaction.
BUT WHY ARE YOU TAKING FEES?
Staking
Guess what fuckers. Staking is coming.
We are building staking into Apollo, where all fees generated by Apollo will be claimable every 90 days by those who are staking passes.
Staked passes can be unstaked at any time, and claimable rewards are generated every 24 hours with no penalty for unstaking.
When you enter Apollo on Monday, you will be greeted with a coming soon for staking.
All fees generated before staking goes live will still be distributed to those staking as a reward for the first block.
Staking will be live in early April or maybe October; who fucking knows.
Token Launch
After Staking, we are going to launch our sip-010 launch service. This is the first utility product in our Stacks lineup that we want to get into users' hands.
This will allow anyone without a Stacks wallet to launch a sip-010 token on Stacks. The deployment cost is paid using Spark and any cryptocurrency the user wishes to use.
It’s probably the best UI we have seen for a token launch service on any chain, and we will roll it out for Solana SPL tokens, Runes and ERC20s. Especially if it means we can capture the Rune fee circus shortly after launch.
Oh. Fees go back to those staking Apollo NFTs. Nice.
Pooling
Ahhhh. The fucking rich pool. For those who don’t know, owning an Apollo pass has just made the entire community very rich.
$515 -> $26,883.32 sounds fun. Right.
More pools are coming. The next one is on Friday the 22nd. The amount you can contribute will be based on the % of Apollo NFTs you own of the total supply. After 24 hours, it will move to first-come-first-serve, gated to pass holders. This reflects a changing environment where we are now seeing early rounds cap buys at $50,000, pushing to $100,000.
We are building a product to automate this process and make it easier, I don’t have an ETA atm as our focus is on other items in this newsletter.
Airdrops
I’m sorry. I’m really, really sorry. We will be airdropping collections to those staking Apollo NFTs. These will be entire collections airdropped to staked pass holders from artists looking to expand their reach into a basket of new degenerate collectors.
Here’s a tease from the first collection…
Ordinal Enjoyooors will be the first airdrop going to one of the most memetic artists we have ever seen. You will all be enjoooying from mid-April with these sensational NFTs.
Following the migration of the MegaKongs and once we find out WHAT IS IN THOSE DAMN EGGS.
We will airdrop the long-lost ApesTogetherApolloSparkPortalAlphaInu Apes. Jokes aside, they won't be called that, and they will likely be dropped on Solana or something random.
Mint Open
The Apollo NFT mint has been reopened and will remain open until sold out. The supply and price have not changed.
If you don’t want a pass, don’t buy one. We don’t care. We are not here to convince you that Megapont and Apollo will still be around in 5years, making people rich. We know it will, and we will gladly prove you wrong.
Seriously. Mint if you want. We are delivering for those who believe we can do crazy cool things. Why is there no hype?

Five individuals had faith in Megapont and Apollo and, over the last couple of weeks, have bought Apollo passes on the secondary whilst the sale was closed. Now that the sale has opened, we will make the following airdrops to ensure those who purchased at a premium get the full allocation of passes.
