Today, our lives have conformed to the digital world. Almost everything can be done online, and this includes storing information in the cybersphere. As the cloud grows and provides more storage and features, more and more people are driven to engage their capabilities, increasing the demand for the industry.

Currently, we are witnessing an oligopolistic structure, with large corporations like Google, Microsoft and Amazon holding majority of the market shares. In 2016, Dropbox was hacked, resulting in the leak of millions of user passwords on the Internet. 2017 saw a temporary shutdown of Google Drive, causing panic amongst thousands of users. Besides security concerns, these cloud services also limit your storage space unless you pay a high price for their premium package.

MegaX has selected three blockchain projects designed with the aim to build a global, open-sourced decentralised supercomputer as our poll contestants. They have created platforms that allow users to pay with their cryptocurrencies in exchange for using the computational resources of those who have unutilized resources to share.
