With the NBA season upon us, we got to thinking about basketball players stepping off the court and into the booth. Like Drake said in “Thank Me Now,” “Damn, I swear sports and music are so synonymous / ’Cause we want to be them, and they want to be us.”

He’s right: From Shaq-Diesel in the 1990s to current Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard, some of the NBA’s brightest stars have attempted hip-hop careers. And so, for your viewing pleasure, we created a list of our favorite music videos featuring NBA stars.
