One of the things celebrities do best on social media is virtue signaling. That’s when you express opinions to demonstrate your goodness as a person.

The new type of virtue signaling is calling out “snapback culture.”

Snapback culture involves celebrities showing images of themselves after having a baby. In other words, where you “snap back” to how you looked before your pregnancy.

This was a fad on social media where celebrity moms would proudly show photos of their bodies after giving birth. The sooner they “snapped back,” the better. They got extra credit if they looked better after pregnancy than they did before.

These celebrities were the type of moms all us other moms love to hate.

Now, the new trend is for celebrity moms to call out this type of “snapback” on social media. It’s a cousin of the filter/non-filter trend.
