In a shocking incident that has gripped the Memorial area of Houston, Texas, a mother has been arrested for leaving her two young children home alone while she embarked on a cruise vacation. Lakesha Woods Williams, a 29-year-old mother, is facing charges of abandoning a child with intent to return after her 8-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter were found living in neglectful conditions at their luxury high-rise apartment.

The case came to light when concerned neighbors noticed Williams leaving her apartment with luggage on April 4, 2024, and failing to return.
