The murder of Lashabra Plunkett, a 28-year-old mother from Oklahoma City, has sent shockwaves through her community and beyond. Her tragic death at the hands of her boyfriend, Keith Moore, in Little Rock, Arkansas, has highlighted the urgent need for awareness and action against domestic violence.

A Life Cut Short

Lashabra Plunkett was a devoted mother to her seven-year-old son, a basketball enthusiast, and an animal lover. Her family remembers her as a kind-hearted individual who always sought to help others, whether it was aiding an injured animal or assisting someone with car trouble. Her mother, Shysheka Plunkett, described her as “the sweetest thing” who “wouldn’t hurt nobody”.

On August 24, 2024, Lashabra was found with laceration wounds at a residence in Little Rock. Despite being rushed to a hospital, she succumbed to her injuries. Her boyfriend, Keith Moore, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Moore had a prior conviction for first-degree murder in 2009, raising questions about his release and the circumstances that led to this tragedy.
