Susan met Jeff Wright in 1997 while working as a waitress. Four years later, the couple was married with two children. The Wrights moved to Harris County, Texas where Jeff worked as a carpet salesman while Susan was a stay-at-home mom. However, behind closed doors, things were far more sinister than they appeared and the bruises on Susan’s body told a different story.

On January 13, 2003, Susan Wright, a 26-year-old mother of two, stabbed her husband Jeff 193 times and buried his body in a hole in the couple’s backyard. The following day, Susan went to the police and filed a restraining order against her husband, claiming he had assaulted her the night before.

On January 18, Susan called her attorney and asked him to come to her home. Once he arrived, she confessed to the murder of her husband. Susan’s attorney phoned the authorities and informed them where Jeff Wright’s body could be found. Jeff’s body, which had been partly dug up by the Wrights’ dog, was found naked with his legs and arms tied.

Susan turned herself in to the authorities on January 24.
