Strategic Cooperation Reached Between Memo Labs and Metis, an Ethereum Layer-2 Protocol, on Building a Web 3.0 Storage Ecosystem

Recently, Memo Labs reached strategic cooperation with Metis on building a Web3 storage ecosystem. The cooperation will foster synergy between decentralized cloud storage protocol and Layer-2 protocol.

Metis, a stellar Ethereum Layer 2 protocol, showcases strong resilience to support Ethereum ecosystem scaling solutions. The protocol is powered by Rollup, a widely recognized top Layer 2 scaling technology due to its matchless functionality and feasibility. Compared with Ethereum Mainnet (layer 1), Metis Rollup aims to solve layer 1 problems, reduce gas fees, and enable fast transaction throughput by offering reliable scalability and security solutions.

Metis has attracted many developers and users with its high scalability (supporting multiple virtual machines), versatility (micro-service framework and easy scaling toolkit), availability (EVM compatibility) and complete decentralization. In the Web 3 world, users can quickly and efficiently develop DApps and Web3 applications such as DACs and NFTs with low gas costs.

Memo Labs and Metis have maintained high consistency in scalability and availability. Memo Labs’s flagship project Memo develops mechanisms, including data layering, off-chain random sharding public verification, multi-level fault tolerance and original data repair to ensure high reliability, availability, low threshold, and storage scalability. The strategic cooperation between Memo and Metis will benefit the growth and prosperity of Web 3. Memo will provide secure and easy access to decentralized storage services for Metis and its DApps.

About Metis

Metis builds a new Layer 2 Protocol in a framework on Mainnet public chains. It enables easy access to build DACs (decentralized companies) and launch DApps (decentralized applications) on blockchains from Web 2 projects and communities by managing collaborations between the community and the data computing layer using of blockchain-based tools.

About Memo

Memo is a blockchain-based decentralized cloud storage protocol developed by Memo Labs. To achieve high scalability and availability, Memo has vastly innovated data layering, verification, and fault tolerance and repair mechanisms for reliable Web 3 infrastructure. Memo’s vision is to perpetuate our information and data storage.

MEMO is an open source blockchain-enabled decentralized storage system that provides a completely new storage network that can meet demands for more security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
