An other-worldly terrain

I decided to take my thirty-year-old son to Iceland on a one-week Mother-Son bonding trip of sorts. Neither of us had ever been there. Our goal besides spending some one-on-one time together: visit somewhere that was outside the more common tourist spots, specifically, Europe. We’d seen amazing photos and read fascinating articles about Iceland. The reality rang true. Every landscape was fascinating in an “other-worldly” sort of way.
