The Straw Hats In Me
Sometimes… I feel like I’m one of the straw hats. I can relate to each and every one of ‘em as if I’m wearing different “hats” throughout the course of my life (got it? hats). Here’s what my thoughts are when I feel like I’m one of the straw hats.
1. Wanna be free like Luffy
Who doesn’t want to? Sometimes I feel like I wanna be free from all the bullsh*ts in life. Free from responsibility, and just chill… and relax.
2. Train like Zorro
I’m a software engineer. In a world where progress was made in less than a decade, being updated is a must. I have to learn something new from time to time. It’s like Zorro when he trains his a*s off, it’s a never-ending task.
3. Grind like Nami
When I’m grinding for money, I do feel like Nami. Money’s not everything, but it is important. Like Nami, sometimes I’m also a lil’ bit worried about my expenses.
4. Witty (creative) like Usopp
Sometimes… I need to be witty and creative like Usopp. Thinking outside of the box to solve a problem. Sometimes it’s for the algorithm that I wrote, or maybe politics that I need to play. One lesson that I learned from Usopp is to try everything even if it’s ridiculous. Who knows? It might work.
5. Food lovers like Sanji
I consider myself a “food enthusiast”. Yeah… that’s it.
6. Helpful like Chopper
I’m an INFJ. Turns out, we’re happy if we can be helpful to others.
7. Historian like Robin
I do like history like Robin. The difference is… she’s reading stone tablet, and I’m watching it on Netflix.
8. I’m an engineer like Franky
Let’s face it guys, he’s not a shipwright — he’s a brilliant engineer.
9. Brook (?)
Idk 🤔 Still thinking about it
10. Big brother like Jinbe
I’m the eldest son, and on one side of the family I’m also the oldest cousin. Sometimes I need to step up as Jinbe does when he becomes “aniki” for Luffy at certain times.
